YOUTH CAMP: Locations Bible Study Worship Parties Group Leaders Parents Register

The drama of Scripture and the drama that fills our everyday lives are not without meaning and purpose. Participants in Curtain Call will explore the power of drama in expressing one's self, shaping others' souls, and following Christ in community.

Games can be both lots of fun and powerfully educational. Participants in Huddle Up will discover team dynamics, creative play, and leadership development all while playing and leading games.

Participants in Missions will spend time putting the Bible into practice and feet to their faith by investing in the lives of others. By engaging in missions at camp, youth will learn that they can do similar things at home – right in their neighborhood. Campers will be able to choose between ministering to a senior adult, caring for children or helping others repair their homes.

" I will sing and make music to the Lord." (Psalm 27:6). Students will engage their creative senses as they write lyrics, make music together, and create authentic worship experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to perform for the camp and to spend intentional time uncovering the meaning and purpose of music and worship.

What does it mean to be a minister in the world? What are the varieties of ways that can take shape? What does the Bible say about it? Are you feeling like God might be calling you to be a Pastor, a Youth Minister, a Counselor or other type of vocational minister? Echo campers will explore what the Bible says about call, and spend real time living practical examples of ministry.

Students in Common Threads will look for and appreciate what we have in common with people from different cultures, religions and parts of the world. Students will learn how to respect people whoa re different from themselves and how to look for common ground. Students will work to counter the “Ugly American” as we seek to interact with all of God’s people from our own neighborhood or from around the world.

Participants will be given the opportunity to learn about the spiritual gift of hospitality and why Christ calls us to be welcoming to others. Each day, students will have the opportunity to engage all their senses as they prepare several recipes to eat and serve at camp.

Brand new for 2012! Balancing a budget, doing laundry, finding a church, being a good neighbor, time management….these are just some of the things around the bend for many juniors and seniors. Participants will spend time learning how to take care of themselves and how to be a good neighbor, all the while learning how to make space for hearing the voice of God in the midst of college and career.
