The Variety Show, a costume Dance and an outdoor Recreation Party all have one goal: FUN! Bible study groups will compete for the winning prize at the Rec Party, experienced campers will come ready with an act for the Variety Show and everyone should bring a Dance costume to match the theme for the week.

Day 1 : Rec Party (Recreational Party) At the Rec Party

youth will compete with their Bible Study Group in a variety of fun and silly games. Rec Party is designed to help students get to know one another. Youth and Adults should come dressed to get sweaty! Shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes (required) are the best selection for this night’s games. We recommend bringing extra clothes to get a bit dirty.

Day 2 : Dance Come spend some time with your friends at our Neighborhood Block Party, an outside dance that will offer plenty of activities to engage everyone. The Brady Bunch, Flintstones, The Addams Family, Spongebob, Modern Family, Happy Days, Glee, etc. Come dressed together with your youth group as your favorite sitcom (See list of ideas below).  Staff judges will determine which group is best dressed.  The key is to come dressed with your group!  Snacks and drinks will be available for a small fee ($1 and under).

Veteran campers will come in costume for this event. See the Dress Code on the Camper/Parent Info Page.

Please encourage your youth to join in the fun, so they don’t feel left out.  Gather your group together and decide as a group what you will be and then plan a group trip to the local thrift store.

Day 3 : Free Night Throughout much of the week, your campers are divided into different groups for Bible Study and Mission Projects/Choices, and while this is done with intentionality to build community over the entire camp, it is also important for your group to build community internally as well. Therefore, on the third full day of camp, groups will be given free time (2:30 - 9:00 pm with dinner on your own) to go off campus and get to do an activity of your choosing. Our desire is for your group to benefit from this time together, so we will offer you suggestions as to where to go prior to your arrival at camp.

Day 4 : Variety Show The Variety Show allows campers an avenue of self-expression with an audience of their peers.  Acts will be chosen based on variety, appropriateness, creativity, church group representation, quality, and time constraints.
